FOWNHOPE Mitsubishi in Hereford is helping Father Christmas get around to see as many children as he can over the festive period.
The family-run dealership in Kings Acre Road is once again lending the Hereford Lions Club a brand new Mitsubishi L200 adorned with festive messages to ensure that Santa gets a safe and comfortable ride around the city and nearby villages.
David Hartland, a member of the Lions, who have been organizing Santa’s tour for more than 40 years, said: ‘It is a wonderful gesture by Fownhope Mitsubishi, not only providing such a perfect vehicle to tow the sleigh but also ensuring it looks the part for such a much loved festive tradition. Thousands of children enjoy seeing Santa and telling him what they want for Christmas and we are grateful for the support of Fownhope Mitsubishi.’
The modern-day sleigh started its tour on November 30th and will continue right up until December 23rd, when Father Christmas then has to get down to the serious business of delivering presents.
Fownhope Mitsubishi, which is run by father-and-daughter duo Dave and Sam Peachey, has supported the Lions Club for the last ten years.
Director Sam said: ‘It is a pleasure to be part of such a worthwhile festive occasion that brings the real spirit of Christmas to so many children and their families in the community, whist helping raise money for those suffering with Dementia.’
Santa and his Sleigh will be in High Town, Hereford on Wednesday, December 18th to greet shoppers. To find out where else the tour stops go to Check Lions website: www.herefordlions.com
